Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Axis Bank(Rs. 874.90 crore), RIL(Rs. 549.45 crore), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(Rs. 420.46 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 333.37 crore), Vedanta (Rs. 331.53 crore), Shriram Trans Fin(Rs. 319.59 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 313.75 crore), Adani Power(Rs. 256.39 crore), Ruchi Soya Inds(Rs. 254.08 crore) and BSE(Rs. 247.93 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:04AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 35.15 points up at 17280.2, while BSE Sensex was up 133.29 points at 57654.35 as of 10:04AM(IST)on April 29.

In the Nifty index, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.14 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.65 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.51 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 4.74 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.78 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.22 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.89 per cent) were among the top losers.
