The late Cardinal John OConnor spoke these words more than 30 years ago, when he founded the Sisters of Life, a Catholic pro-life religious order in New York. His remark was a welcoming call to expecting mothers with nowhere to turn and a plea to the American church to act as guardians to all of Gods children. OConnors words rang true then and are perhaps even more important now.
